SENCO Survival Course
Who is it for?
This 2 day course is specifically designed for newly appointed SENCOs in Birmingham who are learning the role.
The content has been designed to provide timely information around the statutory and legal responsibilities of the SENCO role and support with local systems and procedures.
Day 1
- Roles and responsibilities of the SENCO
- SEND Code of Practice and the graduated approach
- Provision management and monitoring.
- The Birmingham local offer and schools SEND Information report.
- Access to local services and methods of referral
Day 2
- Guidance on SEND Support Provision Plans, Statutory assessment procedures and the funding system.
