Welcome to the Hearing Support Team course ‘Deaf Awareness in Education’
This is a short introductory course that is recommended to all staff who work with a child with hearing loss in school.
During this course, we will consider:
✔ an overview of how the ear works
✔ types and degrees of hearing loss
✔ types of personal hearing technology
✔ implications of hearing loss in education
✔ how radio aids help children with hearing losses
✔ strategies for the classroom
